Air Intake Cooling and Heating Systems
ESP works together with 2JCP, they are a global turnkey supplier of gas turbine auxiliary systems, filtration and packaging products.
Chilling Coils are heat exchangers installed inside air inlet filter houses to enable heat transfer from inlet air to the working fluid within the coils. Removing heat from the inlet air before it reaches the compressor of a gas turbine increases mass flow and consequently power output.
Evaporative Coolers allow direct contact of inlet air with water. Evaporation of this water reduces the inlet air temperature increasing inlet mass flow and power output. 2JCP provides rigid media evaporative coolers, where water is distributed across media pads in the gas turbine air path providing upwards of 90% efficiency.
Anti-icing systems prevent hoar frost build-up on filter elements which can create additional pressure drop. Anti-icing also prevents ice formation at the turbine bell-mouth which can cause damage to the gas turbine. 2JCP offers various anti-icing systems; we provide infra-red heating lamps, anti-ice rakes, heating coils and systems that mix hot gas with inlet air where the hot gas can be sourced from the compressor, gas turbine exhaust or gas turbine enclosure exhaust.
